We put an emphasis on safety first to ensure the comfort and well being of our passengers.

First-rate First Aid Training

All of our drivers are trained in the use of proper first aid and CPR techniques. This includes mandatory attendance at a four-hour pediatric first aid and CPR course designed to help employees handle emergencies and cater to the needs of small children. Courses combine lecture, hands-on exercises, and skills assessment. Following successful completion, skills refresher courses are required for all drivers every six months.

Background Check

It's vital that we do all that we can to protect our passengers. That's why we perform a thorough criminal background check and inspect the driving history on all drivers. A private firm is also charged with checking employees for misbehavior on the job or any other criminal activities. Goin' My Way will not hire any person found to have any negative activities on their record. We cherish your trust, and your child's well-being is our top priority.

Communication Equipment

All Goin' My Way vans are equipped with a mobile telephone, which provides direct communication from the van to clients and our home office. Parents are asked to contact our home office if they need to share special messages or instructions, check where their children are, or make contact with their children. Our home office dispatchers will then communicate promptly with your driver, and the driver will contact you at the given phone number. In the interest of safety on the road, we ask that clients refrain from contacting the van driver directly, as this would interfere with their ability to perform their job properly. All mobile phones are for emergency use only, with business contact conducted exclusively through the home office.

Driver Etiquette

Our drivers are expected to perform their job in a professional manner and to abide by all company policies. This includes treating our precious passengers with the compassion and respect they deserve. All of our drivers go the extra mile to make each trip enjoyable and rewarding. 

Bad Weather Situations

Passenger safety is our top priority. When icy conditions exist, we proceed with extreme caution. If they occur after clients arrive at their pick-up location, we'll attempt to pick your client up and take him or her to the prearranged destination. Should conditions worsen, it might become necessary to pick your passenger up earlier than scheduled. 

We monitor local news channels and radio stations for flights, delays or cancellations. This improves passenger safety in the event adverse weather conditions occur during evening or early morning hours. As news comes in, we keep clients informed of any changes to their regular transportation schedule.

Seat Belt Policy

Goin' My Way provides seat belts for all passengers. Booster seats and car seats are also available, if needed, at no additional cost. All clients are required to wear seat belts while riding in Goin' My Way vans.
